Palm Peel is a specialized tool used to launch and retrieve flatbreads like pita or khubz from high-heat Arabic ovens. While modern versions are often made of aluminum or stainless steel, traditional peels were frequently handcrafted from wood—sometimes specifically from the durable and heat-resistant wood of palm trees
